Good Morning Delmarva discusses the Brandywine Valley SPCA’s Bark on the Boards Block Party

WMDT – The Brandywine Valley’s SPCA’s Bark on the Boards Block Party is this coming Saturday, October 19th.

It’s a day of fun for both the family and their furry friend while raising money to help thousands of animals in the Delmarva area.

We sat down with Sara Smith, Director of Marketing and communications for the Brandywine Valley SPCA, who tells us the event has a ton of new editions this year!

You can expect to see a ton of events that will keep you busy all day long!

You can do yoga with puppies, there will be adoptions, live music, a drag show, costume contest, a pumpkin carving contest, and professional dock dogs will be diving.

Something new they are introducing this year is a comedy show afterwards called Bark after Dark with Aunt Mary Pat.

She says her team thinks it’s a great opportunity for them to reach out to the community.

Again, the event will be this Saturday, October the 19th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

It’s being held at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand.
