Good Morning Delmarva discusses the 47th Delmarvacade Marching Band Competition

WMDT – The Delmarvacade Marching Band Competition is returning this weekend on October 26th.

This morning, Jon Adams, the new Parkside Highschool Band Director, and Megan Chatterton, a senior band and color guard member, stopped by to share what you can expect.

Adams tells us that regional bands that want a shot at competing in their state competition will be attending Delmarvacade to become eligible.

This is the only marching band competition on the lower shore!

Megan Chatterton says she is excited about the opportunity to host other bands and see how many people will come out.

Jon Adams also says that being able to compete at home in front of those who support them the most means a lot.

He tells us they’ve added on new visual aspects and chorography that they will be debuting at the competition.

Again, the competition will be October 26th starting at 4:15 p.m.
