Good Morning Delmarva discusses Revival House’s horror film challenge
WMDT – Revival House’s highly anticipated horror trailer challenge is returning Sunday, October 20th.
This morning, Rob Rector stopped by to tell us how you can submit a spooky film or attend the screening!
Rector says this will be the challenge’s 7th year and it’s by far their favorite movie screening to host.
Each year, they give participants a line of dialogue and an item that must be included in the trailer.
Filmmakers have only one week to produce, write, shoot, edit, and submit a trailer under 3 minutes.
All submissions will be shown at the screening, so everyone can see the unique takes on the material.
Rector says in the past they’ve seen bits of comedy, animation, and other nuances included in the trailers.
There will be a Q&A afterwards with awards being given out, even for the audience.
The winner of the film challenge will be receiving a cash prize.
The screening will be October 20th with doors opening at 6 p.m. and you can watch it live on Facebook if you can’t attend in person.
