Donations accepted for Hurricane Helene relief

FRUITLAND, Md. – The Red Cross is sending tractor-trailer of donations to Asheville, North Carolina later this week to help those impacted by Hurricane Helene.

The following items are needed:

• Canned foods: meats, vegetables, fruits, cans with pop-top lids
• Dry foods: bagged or boxed, beans and pasta
• Cleaning supplies: Laundry detergent, cleaning products
• Personal hygiene
• First aid
• Pet food & treats
• Baby supplies
• Bottled water
• Energy drinks

Donations are being accepted at the Redmens Lodge at 103 Clyde Avenue in Fruitland until 7:30 p.m. this Friday, October 4th.
