Delmar house fire ruled accidental
DELMAR, Md. – A house fire in Delmar Sunday evening has been ruled accidental.
The fire was reported at 401 East Pine Street just before 6 p.m. Firefighters were able to quickly control the blaze, which was determined to have started in a second floor bedroom. Fire marshals say an unknown electrical fire with an extension cord caused the blaze.
Total damage has been estimated at $16,500. One occupant was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation as a result of smoke inhalation.
We’re told the occupants are being assisted by the American Red Cross.
