Delmar Diner shuts its doors leaving community, employees confused

DELMAR, MD. – Some uncertainty is surrounding the Delmar Diner.

A staff member made a lengthy Facebook post claiming employees are in shock after the diner abruptly closed its doors this week.

WMDT went to the diner and found a closed sign, underneath it was an eviction notice, stating the diner owes over $18,000 in rent.

In a response post on Facebook, the diner said the whole issue stems from a misunderstanding following a change in their bank account number, that was allegedly caused by the theft of their bank account. It is unclear whether or not the diner will re-open.
