Delaware State Police arrest a man from Maryland following a crash in Rehoboth Beach
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. -Delaware State Police arrested 30-year-old Kevin Graves following a crash that left one person injured Sunday night in Rehoboth Beach.
At around 6:30pm, troopers were on patrol when they reportedly saw a white Ford speeding southbound on Coastal Highway with no headlights. Police say they pulled the car over and spoke to the driver, identified as Graves. When the trooper returned to his vehicle, Graves reportedly sped off and a chase ensued. The trooper said he lost sight of the vehicle and ended the pursuit for the safety of the public.
Graves was later seen traveling southbound again on Coastal Highway allegedly driving recklessly with no headlights on, leading him to crash into four vehicles.
After the crash, he fled on foot and later returned to the area of the crash. This led to him being arrested without incident on a slew of charges.
He was held on a $4,700 secured bond.
