Del. Fire Marshal reminding residents of statewide Burn Ban
DELAWARE – The Delaware State Fire Marshal is reminding Delawareans of the statewide Burn Ban that took effect on October 15th.
This Burn Ban also includes the prohibited retail sale and use of fireworks for the upcoming Diwali holiday.
Conditions throughout the state have worsened due to a lack of rain. Officials say discarded cigarettes, carelessness with matches, and vehicle exhausts are some of the most common causes for the ignition of dry grass, mulch, and other landscape materials.
