Couple restoring Camp Sandy Pines to host soft opening

FRUITLAND, Md. – A local couple working to restore Camp Sandy Pines is hosting a soft opening for the public.

Gina Gargeu and Jim Yannatelli have been renovating the original tree houses, cleaning up the cabin and making plans to add in a pool and rope course.

Yannatelli said he’s looking forward to the community coming to the campsite to see all of the hard work he and his wife have put in.

“It’s been a dream of Gina’s to keep it the way it has been, when she was a little girl, and she wants to keep it the same but add more life to it and add more adventure to it,” Yannatelli said.

The soft opening will be held on Saturday, October 19th, from 12-4PM. For more information, visit www.SalisburyCamping.com
