Community members send donations to North Carolina for hurricane relief efforts

FRUITLAND, Md. – Community members are rallying together for Hurricane Helene victims.

The Redmen’s Lodge in Fruitland gathered donations to send to North Carolina on Friday. They packed together essentials like food, toiletries and household items.

Morgan Pusey is proud of his community’s efforts to help those in need.

“We thought this would be a good effort, coming from the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It will help friends near and far,” Pusey said.

Pusey said they’ll be doing more donation drives in the near future.
