14 cars damaged in fire at Apple Scrapple Festival

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – Delaware State Fire Marshals are investigating a fire involving multiple vehicles at the Apple Scrapple Festival on Saturday.

Crews were called to the 18000 block of Wesley Church Road just after 3 p.m., locating multiple vehicles on fire in a parking area used for the festival. Fire marshals determined that the fire began at a single vehicle and spread, causing damage to 13 additional vehicles.

Damage to the vehicles ranges from minor to severe, with total damage estimated at $300,000. Officials say there are no indicators of criminal activity involving the fire, and no injuries were reported.
