Wicomico County Public Library raises fund during Folk Festival
SALISBURY, Md. – This weekend the Wicomico County Public Library was taking advantage of all the activity in downtown Salisbury.
The Friends Foundation of the Wicomico Public Library held a book sale outside of the Sarbanes branch on Saturday and Sunday during the Maryland Folk Festival.
Organizers said they raised over $1,300 on Saturday; funds that will help cover the library’s future move to a new location downtown.
“Foot traffic has been great. We were busy nonstop yesterday, all the way till after close. And today, starting out as soon as we put everything out, people were already in there, were already coming in, so it’s been great,” said Untia Bigelow, Volunteer Coordinator for the Friends Foundation of the Wicomico Public Library.
The Friends Foundation of the Wicomico public library also has their fall book sale coming up in November, the weekend before Thanksgiving.
