Wicomico and Worcester goes purple hosts hygiene drive

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – Wicomico and Worcester Goes Purple are hosting a hygiene drive this month.

Organizations across the two counties will be collecting donated hygiene products for distributions at local agencies and to individuals.

Worcester County Youth and Family Services is one of the locations where you can drop off donations. Program support coordinator, Rachel Mitchell, said the organization is hoping to fill the community’s needs.

“A lot of food pantries get the food items, which are fantastic, but they leave out the toiletries side of things. Meanwhile, a lot of people collect things from hotel rooms and traveling, to have them,” Mitchell said.

They’ll be accepting donations from now until September 30th.
