Upcoming Lucas Nagel Memorial Fundraiser

MARDELA SPRINGS. Md. – This Saturday, the Lucas Nagel Memorial Fund will be hosting a clay shoot fundraiser.

Lucas Nagel was an Army Veteran and Deputy at the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office when he tragically took his own life in 2022.

The memorial fund in his honor, established by his family, aims to bring mental health resources and training to veterans and first responders, as well raising awareness about the challenges they face.

“We just want to be part of the bigger picture of not only increasing awareness but changing, changing how we deal with first responders because of the scars that are left on their brains as a result of the many traumatic events that they’re exposed to in the line of duty. We’ve got to do a better job taking care of them,” said Milton Nagel, father of Lucas.

This will be the first official fundraiser for the Lucas Nagel Memorial Fund.

It starts at 7:30 Am this Saturday at Delmarva Sporting Clays in Mardela Springs.
