Two additional suspects arrested in 2022 Seaford home invasion homicide
SEAFORD, Del. – Police have arrested two additional suspects in connection to a 2022 home invasion homicide in Seaford.
On October 11, 2022, troopers were called to a residence in the 2800 block of West Stein Highway for a reported home invasion with a shooting. Two residents, Carl Pedone Jr., and a 19-year-old Seaford woman, were injured in the incident. The 19-year-old was taken to an area hospital where she was treated and released.
Pedone was shot multiple times in the torso and was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The investigation revealed that a total of five suspects forced entry through the back door of the residence, brandished handguns, and went straight to the victim’s bedroom and demanded an unknown item. Pedone was shot inside his bedroom, and the woman was shot while sitting on a chair in the same room. An infant child and two other adults were also home at the time of the incident, however, they were not injured.
In April 2023, police arrested 20-year-old Trent Ingalls and two juveniles, a 17-year-old and a 15-year-old.
Through further investigation, Delaware State Police identified the two additional suspects as 20-year-old Timothy Ohara and a 16-year-old male from Seaford. Both were indicted by a Sussex County Grand Jury last month.
