TidalHealth to hold Breast Cancer Awareness Event
DELMARVA – Join TidalHealth for events dedicated to raising breast cancer awareness on the Eastern Shore. According to a press release from TidalHealth, Breast cancer affects millions of lives across the globe and here on the Delmarva Peninsula. 300,000 women in the United States will be told this year that they have breast cancer. It is the second leading cancer killer next to lung cancer. It’s important to stay on top of your health and continue to have yearly screenings to ensure your staying healthy.
TidalHealth’s Jill Stone Senior Director of Physical Medicine and Respiratory Services stated, “Annual and routine screening is important to be able to diagnose breast cancer so we can treat it and because if it’s undiagnosed we can’t treat it. The earlier the detection the earlier the outcome”.
The mission of the event is to raise awareness in the community and raise money for the mobile mammogram drive. That can be done through tidalhealth.org and if you search foundation in the search bar it will take to a link about the mobile mammogram unit.
Now if you would like to be apart of TidalHealth’s Breast Cancer Awareness Event it will be taking place in Salisbury on October 1st at the Richard A. Henson Cancer Institute and in Seaford on October 3rd from 5pm to 6:30 pm.
