Somerset structure fire under investigation

WESTOVER, Md. – Today around 2:40pm police was dispatched to 8996 Crisfield Highway for a report of a structure fire. Upon arrival police discovered a two story, single family home engulf in flames. The estimated loss due to the fire is over $200,000 and it took over 40 firefighters about 1.5 hours to control the fire. Two locals were transported to Tidal Health for non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
