Salisbury Police arrest pair in connection to shots fired incident
SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury Police arrested two people in connection to a shots fired incident earlier this week.
At around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, officers were patrolling the area of E. Vine Street and Hastings Street when an officer’s attention was drawn to a group of men who reportedly walked into a nearby alleyway, out of view. Officers then reportedly saw two men, not part of the first group, walk out of the alleyway, just before hearing several gunshots from the direction of the alleyway. The two men began running, which officers believed to be the pair running from the gunfire in fear of their lives.
A short time later, officers located and arrested 20-year-old Leon Spry and 19-year-old Jamarion Downs for their involvement in the incident, and found Spry in possession of a semi-automatic handgun.
There were no injuries resulting from this incident. Police are asking anyone that may have information on this investigation to contact Salisbury Police at 410-548-3165 or Crime Solvers at 410-548-1776.
