Salisbury awarded grant for 2025 Folk Festival

SALISBURY, Md. – Tuesday, The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development announced a round of Technical Assistance Grants.

Among a number of recipients on the Eastern Shore, the City of Salisbury has been awarded $40,000 for FY25.

Those funds will be used to help put on the Maryland Folk Festival.

Organizers say that they’ve received this grant in past years, and it is essential for helping with operational costs.

“It helps with staffing, such as our coordinators, crew drivers, things like that. As well as marketing, it helps with our marketing reach with online and in print,” said Caroline O’Hare, Events & Culture Manager for the City of Salisbury.

This year’s Maryland Folk Festival is coming up soon, starting Friday September 20th.
