Ribbon to be cut on first Salisbury Prize sculpture Tuesday

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County Public Library is inviting everyone downtown to celebrate a ribbon cutting of the inaugural winner of the art walk. Thomas Sterner created what is known as “Perpetual” is the 2024 winner of the Salisbury Prize. It is described as a stainless-steel sculpture featuring a tree stump with many rings and a sprout growing out of it. The sculpture will be unveiled at the ribbon cutting and reception, Tuesday, September 17th and it is set to begin at 5:30 at the Wicomico Public Library.
