Recreational Water Advisory issued for all Del. beaches

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The Department Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control has issued a Recreational Water Advisory for all Delaware coastal beaches.

This is in response to recent medical waste washing ashore. Beach access will remain open in Rehoboth Beach, however, swimming and wading are not advised. Additionally, the Rehoboth Beach Patrol is prohibiting access to the ocean due to rough surf conditions.

The advisory will be in place for one week. Visitors are encouraged to wear closed-toed shoes while walking on the beach.
