“Pop Up Prayer” at Unity Square set to continue

MARYLAND – Local Pastors and community members have come to gather and pray with one another. It was held in Salisbury at Unity Square, and this is the second Pop-Up Prayer that has happened in less than a month.

The first one was on August 14th, a week after a 10-year-old boy was shot and killed in his home, and a 10-year-old girl died in a car crash. Both of the students whet to East Salisbury Elementary School, and this truly shook the community.

Pastor Craig Mitchell and his wife, Pastor Ashley took it upon themselves to hold a prayer vigil. Now that was almost a month ago and community members have continued to gather around to pray. Pastor Michell said the goal, is to bring unity to this community.

He says they will continue these prayers every second Wednesday of the month from 6pm-7pm, until it gets too cold to do so. The pastor also noted that they will be opening this up to other religious groups to lead prayers as well.
