UPDATE: Wanted assault suspect located

WESTOVER, Md. – Maryland State Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted for assault in Somerset County.

We’re told shortly after 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, troopers were called to a residence on Rehobeth Road for a reported assault. Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was reportedly assaulted and held at knifepoint.

The victim was taken to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional for treatment.

Troopers identified 58-year-old Garland Parks, commonly known by the nickname “Fast Eddie”, as the suspect. He is 5’6″, approximately 160 pounds, and has an active warrant for first degree assault.
