Pair of juveniles arrested following assault at Easton High School
EASTON, Md. – An investigation is underway following an assault at Easton High School that left two injured.
The investigation began just after noon Tuesday, when the School Resource Officer responded to a reported assault inside of the school. School administrative staff and the Talbot County State’s Attorney’s Office assisted the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office in the investigation, which led to the identification and arrest of two juveniles, who are students at the school.
Two victims, an Easton High School staff member, and a juvenile student at the school, were also identified. The juvenile was taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
The juvenile suspects were charged with first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and several other charges related to the incident.
Additionally, the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office will contact the Department of Juvenile Services to obtain a release disposition for both juveniles.
Easton High School was placed on a brief lockdown during this incident.
