Overnight fire heavily damages Hebron home

HEBRON, Md. – A Hebron home was heavily damaged in an overnight fire.

Crews with the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 500 block of N. Main Street at around 1:40 a.m. At the scene, firefighters reportedly found the second floor of the home engulfed in flames, as well as a power line arching.

Maryland State Fire Marshals say the fire was caused by juvenile fire play. Total damage has been estimated at $150,000, and the family is being assisted by family members and the American Red Cross.
