Officials ask folks to register for third annual Turkey Trot

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. – The third annual Turkey Trot may be in November, but officials are asking you to register soon, if you want to participate.

The event helps raise money for Diakonia, and this year, the organization is hoping to raise $30,000.

You can register from now until October 15th for the early bird special; it costs $30 and you’ll receive a free Turkey Trot t-shirt.

Diakonia executive director, Ken Argot, gave WMDT all the details for the big day.

“The runners will start at 9:00am, so those of you who like to run and don’t like walkers in your way, we’ll get you out quickly. Then the walkers will start about 5-10 minutes after that, where they’ll start and go up the boardwalk,” Argot said.

To register, you can visit www.Diakonia.org.
