Ocean City Bikefest bringing big business as bikers storm the resort town

OCEAN CITY, Md.- The largest bike rally on the East Coast, the Ocean City Bikefest, is storming the streets of the resort town.

Hogwash LLC founder Arthur Robinson said there is no place like this in the country.

“I would surmise yes, it’s the largest one, I’ve done rallies all over the United States and on the East Coast, this is, you take this parking lot and expand it with all these different businesses, I’d say yes this is the largest on the east coast.”

Businesses have been booming, due to the festival being back in town, Founder of All-Bout Customs, Joey Arceneaux said they have been meeting their expectations when they planned the trip. “It has been a good rally, it was one our best rallies of the year, it’s a good income area and we do a good job here.”

Robinson said Bikefest does more than just cater to motorcycles, “what I think they do well is that they are very diverse, a lot of places I’ve gone to, you don’t see a lot of minority businesses that are being showcased or asked to come out, but this venue in particular stresses diversity.”

He encourages those with a business, to get involved next year.

“I’d recommend anyone that has a business, especially that surrounds the motorcycle industry, you should look into getting involved in rallies and showcase your business,” said Robinson.
