Mission Of Mercy hosts free dental clinic Friday, Saturday

SALISBURY, Md. – The Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy dental clinic saw a big turnout out on its first day.

The free clinic is back after taking a pause since 2019 and it’s taking over the Wicomico Civic Center today and tomorrow.

Dentists and dental school students from universities across Maryland treated patients,
performing cleanings, extractions and fillings.

Lead community organizer, Sue Simmons, said they want to serve as many people as possible tomorrow, so she has some tips to make sure your visit runs smoothly.

“It’s first come first serve. I would encourage them to get here early. We do have the capacity and the support for folks to queue up outside the Normandy arena side of the facility,” Simmons said.
