Maryland man arrested on domestic disturbance charges in Felton

FELTON, Del. – On Tuesday October 31st, 2023 around 6:55pm the Felon Police Department was dispatched to the the 3000 block of Abec Lane, Peachtree apartments for a report of a domestic dispute.

A investigation by police revealed it was a verbal altercation where a mall suspect allegedly threatened to throw a concrete block through a sliding glass door of the female victim. The man proceeded to break the sliding door as he attempted to gain access into the apartment where he reportedly shoved the female victim with both hands causing her to fall backwards.

The man identified as 38 year old, James Brown Jr, of Newark Maryland had fled the scene prior to police arrival. On Tuesday September 17th, 2024 Brown was extradited from Somerset County, Maryland to the Felton Police Department where he was arrested and charged with a slew of charges. Brown was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.

Brown was charged with the following :

-Aggravated Menacing (Class E Felony)

-Offensive Touching (Misdemeanor)

-Criminal Mischief under $1,000 (Misdemeanor
