LGBTQ+ Peer Educators Needed in MD

Wicomico County, MD.- True You Maryland is seeking peer educators for their LQBTQ+ youth.

True you work to advance the sexual health and well-being of young people in the community. The organization is looking for peer educators for an inclusive sexuality education program.

LGBTQ+ youth and allies between the ages of 16 and 22 are encouraged to apply.

True You Wicomico County Coordinator Alica Miller explains how to program works.

Alicia says “The goal is to bring young people and health care providers together and close that gap so we can get them the health care they need.”

Alica also told WMDT that the program is divided into two parts. She said “So the first part is educating youth we do focus on LGBTQ youth but the information applies to all young people the second part is an educational workshop for healthcare providers.”
