GMD talks to Alfonso Ribeiro ahead of “AFV” season 35 premiere

GMD – America’s Funniest Home Videos, the longest-running primetime entertainment show in the history of ABC season 35 premieres Sunday, September 29th.

Each week, the “AFV” team evaluates thousands of user-submitted home videos to showcase America’s real-life funny moments captured on video – which
has become a staple in many families’ homes nationwide for decades. “You’ve seen someone get hit in the groin and their reaction, we’ve seen it 100 times or more and it’s still funny, the reaction still makes us laugh and that’s what is wonderful and beautiful about the show, it hasn’t changed much over the years,” says  Alfonso Ribeiro, host of AFV.

Ribeiro is heading into his 10th season hosting the iconic show and tells GMD, it’s an honor to be a part of a show that has brought families together for years and is much needed during this time. “I look forward to laughter, I look forward to people letting go of all the hardships we’re dealing with in the country right now, how separate we are in the country, people not coming together and being able to talk to one another. Coming together through laughter is kind of the only way to do it at this point. So if I can add just a little bit of people coming together and laughing and having a good time together – then I’m all good.”
