Felton teen killed in single vehicle crash, police investigating

FELTON, Del. – A crash early Tuesday morning claimed the life of a Felton teen.

Just after 2 a.m., police say a Ford-150 was driving westbound on Spectrum Farms Road, approaching Edwardsville Road, when the truck failed to negotiate a curve for unknown reasons. The truck subsequently veered off the road and flipped, and an unrestrained passenger was ejected.

The passenger, a 14-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

One occupant, a 19-year-old Felton woman, was taken to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Another occupant, an unknown man, allegedly left the scene before police arrived.

The driver has not been identified.
