DNREC cleaning Fenwick Island beach following medical waste discovery
FENWICK ISLAND, Del. – The Delaware Department of Natural Resources is raking the beach in Fenwick after medical waste washed ashore last weekend.
Officials still recommend no swimming or wading in the ocean, and to wear closed toed shoes while walking on the beach.
Beach access is open, but visitors are reminded that lifeguards are no longer on duty and to be cautious and alert when walking.
