Dewey Beach ocean access to remain closed until further notice

DEWEY BEACH, Del. – The ocean in Dewey Beach remains closed until further notice after medical waste washed up on the beach on Sunday.

Town officials recommend that the public avoid the ocean and wear shoes while walking on the beach.

If you find any type of medical waste on the beach, you are urged to call DNREC at 800-662-8802 and Dewey Beach Police at 302-227-1110.
