Delmarva bring fireworks in victory over Red Sox

SALISBURY, Md. – The Shorebirds control the game to lead the series against the Red Sox Thursday night at Perdue stadium.

In the first inning Vance Honeycutt singles on a ground ball to left field bringing Austin Overn home. Braylin Tavera to 3rd. Vance Honeycutt to 2nd.

Delmarva continues with Ryan Stafford doubles on a ground ball to right field allowing  Braylin Tavera and Vance Honeycutt to score.

Elis Cuevas isn’t done as he hits to right field, reaching on a throwing error by second baseman Fraymi De Leon. Ryan Stafford scores. Elis Cuevas to 2nd.

Bottom of the second, Braylin Tavera grounds out, third baseman Antonio Anderson to first baseman Andy Lugo. Edwin Amparo will come home.

Bottom of the third Elis Cuevas isn’t done yet as hit a homers to right field.

Delmarva will beat the Red Sox 6 to 1.

The Shorebirds will play the final game in the series against the Red Sox Sunday at  2:05  pm.
