Delmar Farmers Market was set up at State Street Park

DELMAR, Del. – The Delmar Farmers Market was set up today at State Street Park for its monthly spotlight event.

Local artisans and local vendors were at the event, showing off their businesses. Candlemakers, customized ribbons, and designer sprays were on display at the event.

The farmer’s market is at the park, every first and third Saturday of the month, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The market will be going inactive at the end of October. However, the plan is for the market to return beginning in May of 2025.

Head of the Farmers Market Christine Chestnutt said events like these are always so beneficial to independent vendors looking to get more exposure.

“All the items we spend a lot of time creating, offering those things, it’s very important, again small business is where the heart of our economy is.” Said Chestnutt.
