Delaware State Police investigating robbery at Tacos Chabelita

LAUREL, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at Tacos Chabelita in Laurel.

Last night around 10:22p, troopers was alerted of a robbery taking place at the local taco shop, located at 30661 Sussex Highway in Laurel. An investigation revealed that a unknown black male suspect entered the business, assaulting victims, and took money that the employees had on a table. Before fleeing, he broke windows to the business, and damaged a vehicle in the parking lot. He proceeded to assault another victim with a hammer. The victims did sustained minor injuries.

The suspect is described as an unknown black male, 5’10 – 6’02, medium build, last seen wearing gray sweatpants, and either a white or black shirt. Surveillance video and images are not yet available.
