Cooking with Lynn: drying herbs with a paper bag

WMDT – It’s Thursday and that means we are back in Lynn Matava’s kitchen.

Lynn is a Nutrition Educator with the University of Maryland Extension.

If you’re looking for a way to preserve your herbs this season, then Lynn has the perfect tutorial for you.

Drying herbs keeps moisture away that can cause microbial growth.

It’s a great thing to do if you are trying to save money.

There are different ways to dry herbs, but Lynn’s version on requires a brown bag and string!

Some of the herbs Lynn chose were basil, rosemary, sage, and thyme which dry faster than some other herbs.
