Cooking with Lynn: Black Bean Burgers
WMDT – Its Thursday and that means we are back in Lynn Matava’s kitchen.
Lynn is a Nutrition Educator with the University of Maryland Extension.
If you’re looking for a healthy and non-meat alternative – then Lynn has the perfect burger for you.
She tells us that this recipe will help feed your microbiome which has a plethora of health benefits.
Matava says it’s best to use low sodium black beans, but if you don’t have that, you can rinse your beans to reduce the sodium.
You can also use brown rice to make it thicker and to help the burger structure keep its structure.
