Cambridge man indicted by grand jury in two separate assault incidents
EASTON, Md. – A Cambridge man has been served with two grand jury indictments stemming from two separate incidents in Talbot County.
The first incident took place on December 5, 2023, when Easton Police officers responded to the Lauren Lane Apartment Complex for a report of a man choking and assaulting a woman. Signs of injury were found on the victim, but no medical attention was necessary. The suspect was identified as 33-year-old Bruce Wilson.
On August 16, 2024, officers were called to the same apartment complex for a phone call where dispatchers reported hearing screaming between a man and woman, with the man making threats of killing someone. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered that the man, Wilson, had assaulted the woman and was also in possession of a firearm. He is prohibited from possessing a firearm and was subsequently taken into custody.
On Thursday, Easton Police served Wilson with two Talbot County Circuit Court grand jury indictments. The first indictment charges him with several counts of first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, firearm use in a violent crime, illegal possession of a firearm, and false statement to officer. The second indictment charges Wilson with first and second degree assault and reckless endangerment. He is in custody at the Talbot County Detention Center.
