DELAWARE – The Associated Press has announced that Mike Ramone has won the Republican nomination for Governor in Delaware’s Primary Election.

Ramone had a commanding lead over Jerry Price and Bobby Williamson as soon as early and absentee ballots were tallied, and as in-person votes were counted, that lead only solidified.

Mike Ramone commanded over 72% of the vote in the republican primary.

WMDT spoke to Ramone after his victory, he had this to say: “I think the victory tonight was substantial, and I think that it shows that we are unified in an effort to bring some common sense, some balance, some bipartisan initiative, and a different style of leadership to Dover.”

The election results aren’t certified yet, but with winners declared in both the Republican and Democratic primaries, it does appear as though November will see a face-off between Mike Ramone and Matt Meyer.
