REHOBOTH BEACH, Md. – City of Rehoboth officials have announced that access to the ocean will be closed on Monday.

We’re told this is primarily due to rough surf conditions. The beach itself is still open at this time. Additionally, beach patrol and city staff will be monitoring the beach throughout the day for any signs of medical waste. Staff have found no evidence of any waste so far.

Anyone who sees any medical waste on the beach in Rehoboth should contact DNREC’s Environmental Hotline at 800-662-8802.
