AtTAcK Addiction hosts recovery event September 14th to mark National Recovery Month

MILTON, De -September, marks National Recovery Month, The AtTAcK Addiction Sussex County chapter is hosting a Sober Fest in Milton on September 14th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The mission of the event is to help show people ways to have fun while staying sober, It will also serve as a one-stop shop for resources to help individuals struggling with addiction.

AtTAcK Addiction, advisory board member, Dawn Hess-Fischer said she wants to use this event to erase the negative connotations that surround addiction. She believes this will be a flagship event for the group.

“One of the things Attack Addiction is known for is our consistent drive to erase the stigma around addiction, and so this event we’re hoping is our marquee event, we’ve had an overwhelming response.” Said, Hess-Fischer.

The event will take place on the Hudson fields in Milton and is free of charge to the entire community.
