Annual event takes over Crisfield

CRISFIELD, Md. – The annual Crisfield Crab and Clam bake took over the city.

Co-chair of the event, Danny Thompson, said every year brings something new and exciting, and with it being an election year, the event was buzzing with local and state politicians, looking to connect with community members.

He added, while some tidal flooding may have hit the area, that wasn’t going to keep the fest from rolling forward.

“We want to be able to show what we have. We live with tidal flooding, it’s an everyday occurrence, especially this time of year, so it’s not something that’s unusual to us,” Thompson said.
