16th annual Salisbury Extreme Boat Dockin’ competition

SALISBURY, Md. – The 16th Annual Extreme Boat Dockin’ competition took place at Brew River Saturday afternoon.

Spectators lined up on the Wicomico River packing Brew River Restaurant and Bar for a chance to watch the Chesapeake Cowboys compete in the fan-favorite event.

While the watermen got to show off their prowess at the helm, for some, the boat docking competition is more than just a race.

“It gives people an opportunity to experience what watermen do every day. And that’s, you know, our culture. And so it’s great to see them compete. And then also, you know, exposed people to what they’re doing every day,” said Christy South.

The Chesapeake Cowboys still have four stops left on their 2024 schedule, including their first ever competition at Chincoteague on September 28th.
