Worcester County Agriculture Week kicks off August 4th – August 11th.
Worcester County is kicking off its first-ever agriculture week, to honor the rich history of farming and growing in the area.
Events like mediation nights, farmers markets, and tasting events will take place across the county. The week’s grand finale will be capped off with two fairs. The Worcester County Fair and the Great Pocomoke Fair.
Advertising Specialist for Worcester County Brianna Dix said that agriculture is integral to the county’s culture.
“For centuries we had farmers that have grown and grown and grown so a lot of the fields here are original, a lot of generational farmers and families that have been doing this for their whole lives.” Said Dix.
