Wicomico Co. officials work to clear local development of debris
WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. – Wicomico County officials assessed the damage of Village at Tony Tank Creek, following Saturday’s severe thunderstorm.
On Sunday morning, County Executive, Julie Giordano, and Wicomico County emergency services officials went to the area, finding debris scattered throughout the development, and trees toppled over, blocking the dam in the area.
Giordano said she’s thankful for all the different agencies that came together to work on clearing the wreckage.
“Our biggest concern is that there was a lot of trees and debris that have fallen near the Morris Mill dam, so we want to make sure that there’s no blockages or things like that, so we have a crew out there right now with a crane, pulling trees,” Giordano said.
