White Marlin Open Day Six Recap
Yesterdays weather did not put a damper on White Marlin Open’s grand finale as many turn up for the event’s last day.
In between boats coming in, Diakonia hosted a raffle benefiting Diakonia programs and White Marlin hosted a finish the song lyric game having the audience pick who should stay and who should go.
A 70 pound Wahoo was caught by American Lady of North Wales, PA taking home first place with a total of $68,000.
Short Fin of Indian River, DE took first place in the daily tuna with their 52.5 pound tuna worth $55,000.
On the final day 62 boats set their sails. Over the week of the tournament, 318 boats set out to get a piece of the $8.5 million prize money. For those who weren’t so lucky there is always next year.
