Washington High focuses on competition in camp
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Washington High football is focusing on remaining competitive in every contest in 2024.
Head coach Alec Meintzer hopes to improve the culture with the help of team leaders Jay’Quan Smith, Develle Morgan, Gladimir Maindron, Ja’mes Lee and Jacob Smith.
Meintzer will need to replace seniors, such as their starting quarterback and running back Brayden Corben and Kyle James, along with nine other seniors.
To help players with buying into the program, Washington has bought new equipment.
Meintzer believes that the coaching staff along with four returning offensive lineman can help with the struggles that come with being a young group.
