Shorebirds fall to Salem in game two of the series

SALISBURY, Md. – The Shorebirds were dominated by Salem, 7 -2, Wednesday night at Perdue Stadium.

Salem took an early lead in the second inning with Andy Lugo’s RBI base hit, scoring Marvin Alcantara.

Salem continued in the second with Karim Ayubi‘s single to left field, bringing in Lugo.

The home team would get their fair share of base runners Wednesday night. The Shorebirds scattering nine base hits, working five walks, and got three hits with runners in scoring position, but only two runs to show for it.

The Shorebirds will play the Red Sox again Thursday night at 7:05 pm.
